Besides the giving of treatment to the arthritis patient in the hospital. The home treatment for the arthritis patient is also required for them to ease their symptoms easily.

Home treatment can be given to them in certain time or every time they can have it. The most important one, the remedies must be given periodically.

The first one that the arthritis patients must do is performing the weight lowering. This is a compulsory for those who have body overweight. This therapy is performed; in order to prevent the stress on the joint caused by heavy weight resulted from the body.

Secondly, try to constantly do the body exercise. There are more benefits to exercise than just weight loss. Regular movement helps to maintain flexibility in your joints. Weight-bearing or heavy impact exercises such as running and walking can be risky on the patients’ joint inflamation. Instead, try low-impact exercises such as water aerobics or swimming to flex the joints without adding further stress.

Hot and cold therapy is very useful to ease the symptoms of arthritis. Simple hot and cold treatments can make a world of difference when it comes to arthritis pain. Long, warm showers or baths — especially in the morning — help ease the stiffness in the joints. Use an electric blanket or moist heating pad at night to keep your joints loose. Cold treatments are best for relieving joint pain, swelling, and inflammation. Wrap a gel ice pack or a bag of frozen vegetables in a towel and apply it to painful joints for quick relief.

Why don’t try to take the massage? According to the Arthritis Foundation, regular massaging of arthritic joints can help to reduce the pain and stiffness and improve your range of motion. Work with a physical therapist to learn self-massage, or schedule an appointments with a massage therapist regularly.
