Forskolin is herb from mint family. It is made from root of a plant forskolin. The plant grows in subtropical area such as Nepal, India, and Thailand.

It has been long been used for centuries in traditional Ayuverdic medicine. This supplement can help to treat a number of conditions, including heart failure, asthma, glaucoma, cancer and obesity.

Scientist suggest to use forskolin that it may aid in weight loss and muscle building. In small study, overweight and obese men took 250 milligrams of a 10% forskolin extract twice a day. The result after 12 weeks, they lost more body fat and had a greater increase in testosterone levels compared similar men taking a placebo. Furthermore, more research must be done or reported to confirm these result and establish its safety.

Coleus forskohlii also may aid weight loss. A concentrated forskolin extract has been shown to burn fat. Forskolin also helped obese men manage their weight in small clinical trials, reports Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Society. A small study of 23 females, published in the December 2005 issue of the “Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition,” reported that Coleus forskohlii did not help with weight loss but did slow or prevent weight gain in mildly overweight women.

Forskolin Vs Gracinia Cambogia

Forskolin’s effect are often claimed to be similar that of gracinia cambogua. Gracina combogia is another natural “miracle” weight loss supplement. Furthermore, like most weight loss supplement, its true results are not quite as exciting as the testimonials. Gracine cambogia like forskolin give some minor aid in weight loss but is not effective at melting belly fat away.
